Election for Board of Directors |

Three positions on the Board of Directors are up for election each year. This year districts 5, 6, & 7 will be voting at the annual meeting to be held April 28th. Members residing in districts 5, 6, & 7 who wish to be a candidate for one of the three board positions must appear in person at the main office of the cooperative and fill out a nomination form not less than 60 days (February 28th) or more than 90 days (January 29th) before the annual meeting date. If you are unsure of which district you live in, please refer to the district map.

New Law for Ag Tax Exemptions |
|
Effective January 1, 2012 Lamar Electric customers who are claiming an exemption on their electric bill for agriculture or timber operations must obtain a registration number from the State Comptroller. In addition, you must sign a new Tax Exemption form (form #01-924) for agricultural or (form #01-925) for timber. Lamar Electric must have the new exemption form by January 1, 2012 or we will be forced to add tax.
